faq'e-sharing

general information

Q: How can I become a e-sharing user?

A: You just need to sign up freely, then find communities which correspond to your interests. Be aware that some communities are private and might require an invitation from their administrators. Anyhow, if you happen to be a user of a site created with e-sharing you might already be a member!

Q: What kind of communities are present in e-sharing?

A: Originally, e-sharing was conceived with students and academic institutions in mind. The idea was that students should be able to easily find and retrieve course materials without having to rummage for their courses' websites, and also to share their work with others and have it reviewed. However, the concept was expanded in order to allow any kind of community to be represented in e-sharing.

Q: What kind of communities are not present in e-sharing?

A: Groups that promote illegal or otherwise condemnable actions, such as hate/intolerant speech or sharing of copyrighted files, will have to go somewhere else, because we won't allow them.
